Open Data Center Alliance
The Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA) is a consortium of leading, global IT organizations, including BMW, Deutsche Bank, Lockheed Martin and UBS. The group envisions a more simple, secure and efficient approach for all those who use the cloud.
North of Nine began working with the ODCA in 2011 to build momentum for usage models that would enhance the security, interoperability and transparency of cloud services. The goal was to share the ODCA vision for standardized approaches to cloud computing and to position member companies as driving a change in the way businesses adopt and use the cloud. We orchestrated a drumbeat of news with other prominent groups like The Green Grid and Facebook’s Open Compute Project to demonstrate solidarity and momentum, and generate media interest in ODCA’s cloud usage models and collaborative approach.
Strategic media coverage in industry outlets including Financial Times, eWeek, CSO, The Register, Bank Technology News and Datacenter Dynamics have raised awareness of the Alliance and helped define the mission for the key technology decision-makers the ODCA needs to reach. The ODCA is poised to make an even greater impact with its first event this summer, Forecast 2012. Our plan that combines media and analyst outreach and select media sponsorships is laying a strong communications foundation to ensure the success of the event.
